The FusePoint Flashcards webpart introduces an engaging flashcard experience directly within SharePoint. Cards are grouped by category, support flipping between front and back content, and can be navigated via an intuitive carousel interface.
Users can explore flashcards within a category, switch between categories using a sidebar menu, and optionally shuffle flashcards to promote dynamic learning and memory recall.
Features
Category-Based Grouping: Cards are organized into categories with navigable tabs on the left
Interactive Flip: Click to flip any card and reveal back-side content
Carousel Navigation: Browse flashcards within a category using forward/backward controls
Randomization Option: Enable random display order for cards instead of fixed displayOrder
Dynamic Category Display: Categories with no available cards are automatically hidden from the sidebar
Responsive UI: Optimized layout for desktop and mobile experiences
SharePoint Native: Fully built with SPFx and styled to match the SharePoint UI
How It Works
Flashcards Structure
Each flashcard includes:
Category (used for grouping and navigation)
Front Content (title or prompt)
Back Content (answer or explanation)
Display Order (used when randomization is off)
Default Behavior
Cards are sorted by displayOrder within each category
Category list is shown on the left sidebar
Clicking a category name loads its flashcards into the main carousel view
If no flashcards exist in a category, it is hidden from the sidebar
Optional Randomization
When the "Randomize Flashcards" option is enabled in the web part properties,
the displayOrder is ignored and the flashcards in each category are shuffled
The shuffle is client-side and occurs each time the web part loads
