Overview

The FusePoint All Subsites web part is a custom SPFx web part that lists every subsite within a SharePoint site collection in a clean, searchable table. It gives users quick access to each subsite and optionally surfaces admin controls — all from a single, configurable interface.

The web part is powered by the SharePoint Search API, so newly created or modified subsites may take a short time to appear as the index updates.

Features

1. Subsite Table Display

Each row in the table shows:

• Site Name – Sortable column; displays the subsite's title.
• Site Description – Brief description of the subsite's purpose.
• URL – Rendered as an Access site button that opens the subsite in a new tab.

2. Admin Action Buttons

When Show Admin Buttons is enabled in the property pane, two additional buttons appear per row:

• Delete site (red) – Initiates deletion of the subsite.
• Edit Settings (gray) – Opens the subsite's settings page.

These buttons are hidden by default and only revealed to users with appropriate permissions when the toggle is active.

3. Search

A search box at the top of the web part lets users filter subsites by name in real time.

4. Sorting

Click any column header to sort the list ascending or descending by that field.

5. Pagination

Results are paginated. Configure the number of items shown per page from the property pane, and use the navigation arrows to move between pages.

How to Use

Adding the Web Part

1. Edit your SharePoint page.
2. Click Add a Web Part.
3. Search for and insert FusePoint All Subsites.
4. Click Edit web part (pencil icon) to open the property pane.

Enabling Admin Controls

1. Open the property pane by clicking the edit icon on the web part.
2. Check Show Admin Buttons.
3. Save the page. The Delete site and Edit Settings buttons will appear for each subsite row.

Note: Only users with site collection admin rights should enable admin buttons. Deleting a subsite is irreversible.

Searching and Navigating

• Type in the search box to filter subsites by name.
• Click a column header to sort.
• Use the ‹ › arrows or page number input to move between pages.

Important Notes

• Search API Latency: Because the web part uses the SharePoint Search API, new or recently modified subsites may not appear immediately. Allow a few minutes for the search index to reflect the latest changes.
• Permissions: Admin action buttons (Delete, Edit Settings) should only be shown to users with appropriate site collection permissions.
